In my class, I strive to help students reach their individual and ever-expanding potential of creativity. Art class is not just about creating a piece of art, yet a practice to INFILTRATE creativity into one's existence.
My goal is to incorporate the traditional standards (color theory, Elements of Art; Line, Color, Shape, Form, Value, Texture, Space) in a fashion that doesn't feel so elementary...where the students learn through DOING and creative creation, in a studio setting, free to make messes, happy accidents and so forth.
I strongly value the critique aspect of my class. It helps enhance emotional intelligence, develops terminology for public audience use, enhances communication skills, will power and promotes diving deep to generate curiosity which leads to concentration success.
