Sarah House

I combine painting and collage to create vibrant, expressive, multilayered mixed media pieces. The subjects that inspire me range from canyons to construction sites to my kitchen table, but the common thread through all of my work is a jubilant sense of chaos. It is about feeling afraid, confused and ecstatic all at the same time.

I finished my BA in studio art and sociology at Dickinson College in 2020, then moved to Colorado to start a new adventure., The Smiley Building provides me with a wonderful environment to expand my practice while sharing ideas with other artists and connecting with others in the community.
