Jane Mercer

Jane Mercer takes a representational approach to painting the Landscape, Still Life and commissioned Animal Portraits. When painting en plein air or in the studio, the goal is to capture the essence of a location, create an eye appealing design, and apply paint with assured brush strokes for visual impact.  The artist is fascinated with the glow of reflected light on various surfaces.  The light creates the drama enhancing a painting to convey enjoyment and excitement in what the “Artist Sees”.

An award winner and participant in numerous juried Local and Regional Shows.
